For Anya's birthday this year, we just wanted to do something simple, but fun. We took her to Kanki Japanese House of Steaks and Sushi and invited a few friends of hers. She had never been to a Japanese steak house before so this was a fun experience for her. Anya enjoyed watching the cooking and playing with Samantha more than eating. All the kids were excited and impatient – until the cake came – and then they were quiet and waited patiently until Anya blew out the candles, then they sat still until they finished all the cake.
Anya helped pick out the cake a week ago and Aden has been trying to eat the cake since he saw it at home!
Anya’s last request of the night when we got home was to watch the movie "Shrek" with daddy. David ended up falling asleep before the movie ended.
Anya’s aunt Rummy sent her a Hello Kitty Kimono from Japan which she wore while watching the movie. Good timing!

Nice cake, looks YUMMY, where did you get it? Love the Kimono :) Been meaning to ask how do you put video on your blog? I mean do you take it from a video cam or phone? We're horrible w/our v.cam, we never use it and never ever download it to our PC. Anya looks soo grown up! Can't believe it's been 4 yrs now, wow... HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANYA!
