Final day: We stopped by Beaufort on the way home. Founded in 1709, the town is the third oldest in the state. Originally a Port of Entry and fishing village, Beaufort has a rich maritime history. Historic waterfront district along Taylor’s Creek offers visitors the opportunity to dine and shop while enjoying views of feral horses on Carrot Island and boats from all over the world at the Beaufort Docks. We stopped for lunch at the famous Sanitary Restaurant and Fish Market in Morehead City for lunch and then went home.

Love,
David, Riot, Anya and Aden
