Late last year, we decided to do a vegetable garden for the first time in five years – since the kids were born. Riot started the seeds a couple months ago in our ‘green house’ (it’s just a shed with Plexiglas on one side) and some of them were ready to be put in the ground now. Last weekend, David put up the fence (lot of rabbits around here and they like eating beans and peas), cleared the ground, hammered stakes and ran string for climbing plants, etc.
We focused on growing things we use in our cooking, such as beans, peas, carrots, cucumbers, and tomatoes. We will see how it goes and may increase our garden next year. We will keep you posted on its progress. Let's hope everything we planted survives. We will keep you post on the progress of our garden. This will be a good outside classroom experience for the kids and hopefully they will better understand and appreciate the vegetables they eat.

Love,
David, Riot, Anya and Aden
