David and Anya planned a surprise visit to Great Grandma and Grandma on their birthdays (only 1 day apart). They flew into the Eastern side of North Dakota to surprise Great Grandma on the morning of her birthday, spent the night with David’s sister, and then drove to the Western side of the State to surprise Grandma on her birthday. David called his mom when they got into town and asked her to stop by a particular specialty candy store and mail him something. When his mom walked in, Anya went over and wished her a ‘happy birthday’. The video clip shows how surprised – and speechless! – Grandma was. Then Anya went outside to get Grandpa. Afterward, they both said that when they first saw Anya, their thought was ‘wow! this kid looks just like Anya, but it can’t be Anya – she’s in North Carolina’!
